Welcome to the Scrabble, Rummikub & Board Games Group
Our small and friendly group meet every 3rd Monday of the month (except August) between 2pm and 4pm throughout the year – with tea and biscuits provided. At the moment we try our hand at Scrabble, Rummikub and Boggle but we are always open to new ideas.
Those of you who are not familiar with Rummikub, it is a numbers game played with tiles instead of cards. You play your tiles as you would with the card game Rummy. Rules are very simple to pick up and as you progress it becomes quite strategic and tactical but great fun.
We need more people to join to sustain the group as a viable proposition and one thought is to introduce a few cards games into the curriculum, maybe Rummy, Newmarket or EVEN SNAP.
Maybe there’s a board game hidden away in your cupboard which you haven’t played for ages ? Well why not bring it along to one of our meetings and relive old memories of days spent around the living room table.
The group now meet in each other’s houses. If you would like to join us then you will be most welcome.
