Welcome to Play Reading
This is the group for people who love characters and plots – and enjoy escaping for an afternoon into worlds created by playwrights. We choose a wide range of comedies and tragedies – from the classics to modern works.
Acting is not required ! There is no type-casting and we all take turns at a variety of parts. The fun is in reading the parts ‘on the hoof’ and working it all out as we go along. A short discussion of context and major themes often arises.
We meet at the home of one of our members on the first Wednesday of each month between 2.00 and 4.00pm and currently have vacancies. Please contact me if you are interested in joining our group.
