This group meets monthly on the second Thursday of the month at 10 a.m. We are a small group and we all enjoy listening to music of all kinds, from Elvis Presley to the Beatles, from Fleetwood Mac to Helen Shapiro, from James Taylor to David Essex, and sometimes artists that are new to most of us! Each member of the group selects 5 or 6 songs and it is a really fun way to spend a morning.
It is a well-documented fact that music can make us feel uplifted, contented and can improve our health, too. Whether you’re performing it or listening to it, music can increase your happiness (as well as the happiness of those around you). Music can lift the spirits, but science has now shown it has a physical effect on our bodies too.
So if you enjoy listening to popular music, whether it’s pop, soul, blues, country, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s or even current music, why not come along ?
