U3A Photography Group One
What’s it all about? The group is for those who enjoy meeting and talking about various aspects of photography in a warm friendly atmosphere. Our aim is to help each other improve the images they take, in a relaxed manner. We meet and chat about topics of interest sharing knowledge. Each meeting the subject for images is chosen. Four of each member’s images respectively are then looked at in turn at the next meeting. It’s not a problem if you don’t bring images or wish just to be part of the discussions.
Now and again we have visits out for informal photo shoots. Courses at Highbury College are sometimes arranged.
You don’t need an expensive camera or much experience but if you do, that’s okay too.
The details for us are—
Meetings. We usually meet on the fourth Monday of each month, from 10.00 to 12.00 noon unless there is a Public Holiday.
Where. The Church of the Resurrection Hall, Penarth Avenue, Drayton, Portsmouth PO6 2AP (map).
Where there is a 5th Monday we normally make a trip out locally for a photo shoot
and then enjoy lunch together.
