We aim to help people to use their computer more efficiently and to expand their knowledge.

The topics covered are primarily led by the needs of the group but is based around Word processing, using the internet, attachments, dealing with problems, using eMail, along with looking at various free software that may help the members in pursuit of their hobbies and interests.

We are able to offer help to people with Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10. Members will need to have an eMail address to receive information.

A summary of the topics covered appears on this webpage following the meeting to help with revision and is also emailed to members.

New members are welcome and we are happy to help with any problem. Members need to have their own laptop, netbook or computer to be able to practice the skills covered. We can also help individuals on a 1-1 basis in their homes if needed.

The computer group has found a new meeting venue. We now meet at The Church of the Resurrection in Drayton on the second Tuesday of the month. There is a small charge of £2 for the hire of the room.

If you are interested in joining the group please contact Joyce on the email address below or at a U3A general meeting.

Meeting – March 2017

Did you know that in Windows 10 there is an inbuilt app that lets you access your emails with one click ? It’s called ‘Mail’. All email accounts from any provider can be entered and then you can see them at a glance. This is just one of the many new pieces of information we learnt at the meeting. If you have problems downloading attachments or ‘Tony’s Tec’, or once downloaded you can’t find it, then come to the next computer meeting.
